I'm going to the Olympics!!!!

Well, it turns out that I didn't have to wait too long at all. Just a couple of weeks after my last blog post, I received one of the best emails of my life:


Email confirming my London 2012 Games Maker role

I can't tell you how excited I am! I had to read the email two or three times to make sure that I wasn't imagining it and then I quickly logged on to the web site to accept the offer, before they changed their minds!

I'm going to be working at Greenwich Park, which is where the equestrian and modern pentathlon events will be held. I'm probably biased but it looks like it's going to be a beautiful venue.

So, what happens next? I've already been invited to attend my role-specific training in Hackney on April 19th, where I should hopefully find out a bit more about what I'll be doing, and then it shouldn't be too long after that before I go to collect my uniform and accreditation badge!!
